Welwyn Parish Council keeps the costs down

The Council recognises the value of providing affordable venues for the use of residents and local community groups.  That’s why the council works hard to ensure that rates are kept down, in most cases subsidising them, for residents and local community groups use.  This allows our residents and local community groups to enjoy our venues for a variety of events.

Local community groups and residents of Welwyn Parish will receive a 50% discount on all hiring charges.  Commercial businesses will receive a 50% discount after 12 months hire or 12 consecutive hiring’s (whichever applies first).  

 

Kitchens

The Pavilion kitchen is for sole use of hirers. For our other venues the kitchens are shared with the users of the other halls if the whole venue is booked.  The Parish Centre kitchen facilities are for tea/coffee use only (no cooking facilities).

NOTE

These charges do NOT include the  damage deposit which is refunded after the event provided that there are no issues.  This is usually done within two weeks of a booking via bank transfer. Deposits start from £50 and go up to £250 depending on the event and venue hired.
