Welwyn Parish Council currently provides three main venues with a total of six halls plus kitchens and parking for use by the community. Our hire fees reflect resident, community groups and commercial rates, to help bring a diverse range of events to our residents.
So whether you’re after a venue for a social function, a small meeting or a regular gathering, we can cater for them all.
Based in Welwyn Village, the Civic Centre is a popular venue capable of putting on the larger events, with a dedicated stage and lighting system in the Main Hall, and the Small Hall suitable for more intimate gatherings.
Set back at the top of Ottway Walk with views over the playground areas, the Whitehill Centre provides two rooms and shared kitchen facilities and additional parking at the Lower Whitehill Car Park which is accessible via steps.

Welwyn Parish Council proudly maintains a “county standard” football pitch and an all-weather cricket square which is especially useful for disabled cricket teams and are available for hire throughout their relevant seasons. There is also a mini and youth football pitch. Others sports pitches can be marked out by arrangement.
