The Pavilion

The Pavilion is our premier venue for use by local Cricket and Football Clubs but also hosts activities outside of those core times. Consisting of one carpeted room, it looks out on to the playing fields at Ottway Walk.

As well as it’s own small kitchen there are two sets of changing rooms (accessible from the outside of the building only) suitable for use by teams.

• Large Car Park

There is plenty of parking at the Ottway Walk car park but it should be noted that this car park is also used by the Adjacent Sports & Social club. Further additional parking is available at the Whitehill car park and to a limited extent at the Broomfield Road car park. All Parish Council car parks are free (at the point of use).

The Council recognises the value of providing affordable venues for the use of residents and local community groups.  That’s why the council works hard to ensure that rates are kept down, in most cases subsidising them, for residents and local community groups use.  This allows our residents and local community groups to enjoy our venues for a variety of events.

Local community groups and residents of Welwyn Parish will receive a 50% discount on all hiring charges.  Commercial businesses will receive a 50% discount after 12 months hire or 12 consecutive hiring’s (whichever applies first).
