The Pavilion, located adjacent to the playing fields is our premier venue for use by local Cricket and Football Clubs but also hosts activities outside of those core times. Consisting of one carpeted room, it looks out on to the playing fields at Ottway Walk.

As well as it’s own small kitchen there are two sets of changing rooms (accessible from the outside of the building only) suitable for use by teams.

  • County Standard Adult Football Pitch
  • Mini and Youth Football Pitch
  • All weather Cricket square
  • Large Car Park
  • Adjacent to the Pavilion (separate hire required)
There is Plenty of parking available at the recently resurfaced Ottway Walk car park as marked on the map and additional parking at the Whitehill Car Park which is only a few minutes walk away.

Facility Hire cost
Adult Hire per Match: £70
Youth Hire per Match: £35

This compares to £67.10 per session (2012 rates) for pitches maintained by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council and has led to substantial demand.

“Minor field users” fee of £20 per session or £500 for an annual permit (equivalent of 25 sessions) provided it does not cause a conflict with a hirer of the full pitch is also available. A “Minor field user” is defined as any organised group using the field where a membership list or fee has been taken.
As examples:

• An informal group of friends meeting to jog around the pitch for 10k runs, would not be chargeable.
• A regular group using equipment of any sort would need to contact the council.

This does not affect the current position where any group causing a disturbance, such as through loud music, anti-social behaviour etc may be asked to desist or move on.
